St. Vincent de Paul
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a Catholic lay organization dedicated to works of charity for the poor and needy. SVdP is an international organization; our Resurrection Conference has been in operation since 1995. Members of SVdP are men and women who strive to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to individuals in need. We serve the poor and needy in the Sunnyvale, California area.

Large food donation:
Thank you to the generous donor(s) who gave us a huge selection of potatoes, pasta, peanut butter, and cup of noodles last week. Our fourteen needy families will benefit for weeks to come from these kind gifts.
Help with fresh produce?
If you are an early riser on Saturdays, you could help needy families by occasionally buying specific fresh produce items (e.g. 28 bananas) and delivering them to the Church on Saturday morning at 8 am. There is a spreadsheet for signups. To learn more, please leave a voicemail on the above helpline number stating your interest and your contact information

Who We Are:
Members of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (known as “Vincentians”) are men and women who together strive to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to neighbors in need. We invite you to stop by the front of the Church on any Saturday morning between 8 and 9, see what we do, and ask a question or two.
Scripture reflection:
In today’s first reading from Isaiah, the Lord says, “Share your bread with the hungry, shelter the oppressed and the homeless; clothe the naked when you see them...”. With your prayers, participation, food donations, and monetary support, our SVdP conference does all those things on your behalf. Thanks for helping us in so many ways!
Youth group meeting:
Thank you to the Youth Group for allowing SVdP to come to their February 1 meeting. We presented the Vincentian mission and how we achieve it at our parish. The teens asked many questions and offered suggestions for future projects. We look forward to engaging them in the good works of SVdP.
Neighbor-to-neighbor assistance:
We wish to thank all of the parishioners who donate monetarily to our SVdP conference. Your donations make it possible for us to help many needy families. In January, we helped twenty-eight families with assistance including $2,700 in grocery gift cards and food, $5,621 in rent payments, $744 in transportation expenses, $295 in miscellaneous expenses, $300 in assistance to other conferences, and forty-four bags of groceries from our pantry.
