Stations of the Cross & Lenten Soup Supper
February 20, 2026
The period of preparation for Easter this year begins on Ash Wednesday, February 18. This period is a time for communal observance and penitence. In the liturgy on Ash Wednesday, the Prophet Joel exhorts the community to “Return to the Lord with fasting, weeping and mourning”. Various organizations and families in our Resurrection Parish are combining efforts to provide parishioners the opportunity to gather together and “pray, fast and give alms”. On every Friday in Lent, except Good Friday, we will pray and make the Stations of the Cross at 6:00 pm, and then proceed to Farana Center hall to have a simple soup and bread supper. The soup will be donated by Parish organizations and families (this Friday, February 20 soup hosted by Italian Catholic Federation) but an offering is being asked.

Catholic Relief Services (CRS)
Rice Bowl Campaign - Come Join Us!
February 21 - 22, 2026
The Church of the Resurrection is joining Catholics around the world and participating in the CRS Rice Bowl Lenten Journey. During this journey, people will pray, fast, and give alms to change the lives of our brothers and sisters living around the world who are experiencing poverty and hunger. The journey starts today and concludes on Easter Sunday. All are encouraged to participate. When you make sacrifices during Lent and place alms in your Rice Bowl, your efforts will help feed starving children, provide health care to suffering families, and assist communities facing disasters caused by flood, drought, and violence. Rice bowls are available today at the exits of the Church. We invite your family to take one home and walk this journey with fellow Catholics. Blessings to all families during this Lenten Season.
